TallyGo text messages (SMS)

Last updated: October 17, 2026

Who sends them

TallyGo, a product of Global Logistics & Shipping Inc, sends these text messages on behalf of moving companies that use TallyGo to record on-site inventories.

What the messages are

A moving company's office sends a crew member (a foreman or mover) a link to start or continue an inventory for one specific job. The message contains the moving company's name, a job reference and the link. The link works for that job only and stops working at midnight in the job's local time zone.

These are operational messages about a job the recipient is working on. TallyGo does not send marketing or promotional text messages.

How consent works

We only send to a mobile number that a moving company has entered into TallyGo for one of its own crew members. Before a text can be sent, the moving company's office must tick an unticked checkbox beside the phone number box that reads: "This crew member has agreed, as part of their work, to receive job-link text messages from TallyGo on this number." The Send button stays disabled until the box is ticked, and the box is cleared again after every send, so each text needs its own confirmation. TallyGo records when the box was ticked and the exact wording shown. The moving company also confirms in our Terms of Service that each person whose number it enters has agreed, as part of their work, to receive job-link text messages.

The TallyGo office screen. A job row has a Text it button, which opens a Foreman mobile number box and a disabled Send link button. Below them is an unticked checkbox labelled: This crew member has agreed, as part of their work, to receive job-link text messages from TallyGo on this number. Under it: One text each time you press Send link. Message and data rates may apply. They can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help, with links to the Terms and the Privacy Policy.
The screen where a moving company's office enters a crew member's mobile number. The consent checkbox is unticked by default, and the Send link button cannot be pressed until it is ticked. (Sample data shown.)

Each crew member can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any message. After that, no further messages are sent to that number.

Message frequency

One message is sent each time the moving company's office sends a link, typically one to a few per job. Message and data rates may apply.
